Hello.
I am new to inkscape and I do not know wheater inkscape even supports the features I am looking for.
I want to draw a design. Therefor I need the possibility of drawing a special distance. For example: Draw a first point and then draw a line to the right just of a special length eg 5mm (or 25 px).
I need that so that I can later on export it as a ps-file that can be again reformattet and then printed if necessary.
How to do this?
Thanks in advance
Christian
setting the right size to drawing elements
Re: setting the right size to drawing elements
HI Christian,
for instance you can use horizontal and vertical Guides. You can set them up precisely with mm/cm/px/... parameters and then you have to enable the "Align to Guides" in the Document Settings.
In the newest Inkscape I think you can also use rotated guides.

WinXP and mostly latest Inkscape (unless stated otherwise)
