I love Alchemy, but am so frustrated. I can't seem to install it on my Win7 laptop. I've posted messages in their forum, but no one has done much to help. I really miss it, and don't understand why they don't seem to care I keep plenty busy with Inkscape though

Oh, I'm sorry. I realize that a zip file doesn't technically need installing. But I've checked everything. I've downloaded multiple times, but when I try to open the program, nothing happens. No error message, just nothing. I've checked on the JRE, have current version, and enabled and working with other apps. I've read the Read Me or installation guidelines, or whatever they're called, and I follow them precisely. You can follow my efforts here: http://al.chemy.org/forum/talk/topic856-10.html

When I went to get the link for that topic, I noticed that there have been a few more replies. So it's no longer true that no one is trying to help. But I did expect something sooner. Anyway, none of the messages are particularly helpful to me. I don't really know how to compile, and unless I have step by step instructions, wouldn't want to try.

I'm thinking about trying to install an older version, but won't be able to try until this weekend. Thanks for offering to help
