convert svg to jpeg

Postby jdoxa » Sun Oct 11, 2015 1:33 pm

I created a logo using svg. On the logo I have used filters to make the logo stand out. I am trying to trademark the logo, but the program is asking for a jpg files only. I went to online-convert.com to convert it to jpg. When the file was converted, it came out fuzzy. I attempted it again but took off the filters and it still came out fuzzy. What must I do to keep it from being fuzzy? Is there a particular program I should use? :?: :?:

Export your image from inkscape to a png with the desired size, then use a raster editor to save it as a jpg.

In my humble opinion filters in a logo are the complete opposite of making your work stand out. Can you show an example of a good logo that uses filters, out of curiosity?

Not sure how much "fashion" in that image! I'm sure she has been "photoshopped", poor thing. And probably without her knowledge or permission.

That's not a logo at all! Suggest some moderation, but that's not my call anymore.

Wait -- that's not the op either. Definitely suggest this is spam!

Yes, it is. And it's dangerous that you clicked on the link, brynn. Be careful!

You don't know German GEMA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blocking_of_YouTube_videos_in_Germany)... Won't work - but thanks for trying, Lazur ;)

How would anyone know where a link they click is going to take them, ahead of time? There was no clue there. It was a normal-looking URL. (fashiontrendsDOTcom, or something like that)

I would just delete the whole message, rather than edit it. (Even if you have a cute video to replace it.) And ban the member! They were not attempting to add anything constructive to the topic. You could just delete all our banter following it. It's not constructive either, as far as Inkscape or the topic.

Edit (in case Moini has a chance to see this, before it gets deleted)

3 cheers for GEMA! Although subjectively blocking internet content is probably not the best solution to the problem.... :?

Brynn,

Don't you see a pop-up window in your browser at the bottom left of the screen showing where the link leads? In that case it was something like:

fashointrends.ru

which should tell you straight away that it's a spammer.

Original link wasn't embedded as per se, the new bb engine seems to repharse links.
How can you be sure about links? Quote the message and check the url.

Well, it was a clever spammer, who could easily try it again, as long as they are here.....
