[solved]Is there a quick way to find the coordinates of node

Postby capnhud » Sat Oct 13, 2007 6:40 am

:tool_node: Say for instance you have two different size ellipse with the smaller ellipse aligned inside the larger ellipse. You have 4 nodes at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o clock on both the inside and outside circumferences. You end up with an (O). Now while in the mist of tweaking the (O) your bezier handle lengths no longer match. What is a quick way of finding the coordinates of the handles to adjust them to be the same length on the opposite sides? ( Or do I just pull a guide and mark one handle and then adjust the other to the guide?

I hope this makes sense.

I guess it would be possible to do via the XML Editor, but I don't know SVG well enough to advise on that. Otherwise you'll need to use guides.

Alternatively, you might find it easier to use "linked offset" to create your 'O'.
