I've been working on this little guy for a couple days now (between work and school). I'm looking for comments/crits.
Which do you like better?

I like the first one better, I think you could even throw more color, maybe some dot pattern

My final intention is to use this as a real time game sprite (probably Silverlight), so I wanted to keep the image as 'simple' as possible.

I agree with pkros, the first one looks the best and even more colour could be used - but I can appreciate the need to keep it simple if it's going to be small.

I agree. The colors are great. Even more would be better. But if it's going to be a small sprite, it wouldn't really make sense to go crazy on the detail, so I guess it depends on the size of the sprite. Looks great though!
