receiving only portion of my image on paper when printing

Postby melissa1 » Wed Jun 24, 2009 4:54 am

Beginner

I printed off my .png.
I received only a portion of my image using a 8.5 x 11 size paper.
How do I remedy this for future use?
Do I need to resize? does it have to do with the placement of my image?

Is that an exported PNG from Inkscape? What program were you using to print it?

Off topic:
I went to sleep yesterday so I couldn't answer. It looks like everybody on this forum is in opposite timezone than me.

If your document exceeds page dimensions then you need to shrink it while printing. This is what you do:
    1. Click "File", then "Page Setup..."
    2. Move the radio button to "Fit to:" and set the values to [ 1 ] by [ 1 ] page(s)
    3. Click OK

Furthermore, I would recommend you some other program for viewing and printing images. FastStone Image Viewer is more flexibile than Paint when it comes to printing, and it also has great other features.
