Hello!

I use Finale and Inkscape to make music examples for publications and conference presentations. Finale allows me to export SVG, EPS, and PDF files. I open them in Inkscape to make the backgrounds transparent, to add additional markings, and to change the colors. Some of the fonts don't appear at all in Inkscape, and others display incorrectly. It displays a text character instead of the music symbol. The music fonts come with Finale.

A while back, I read that Inkscape can't load some symbol fonts. It displaying incorrectly is a new problem for me since I updated my computer. I'm using Windows 7, Finale 2014.5, and Inkscape 0.91.

Is there any way I can work around these font issues?

First thing I would try is to update to Inkscape 0.92.
I had the same issue with Capella in 0.91... and it worked in 0.92
