To start, here are the vitals:
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium, 64-bit
Inkscape: 0.48.1
ABCExplorer 1.3.8

I am using the ABC music manager/editor ABCExplorer to export sheet music to PDF. It is really a GUI on top of several utilities, the important one here being abcm2ps. I eventually want to get the music into Scribus for some self-publishing, but Scribus will not import PDF, only EPS. ABC Explorer will not export EPS, hence my need for Inkscape as a middleman to convert the PDF to EPS ... and herein lies my problem.

In Inkscape, when I import the PDF, the preview pane in the Import dialog shows the whole PDF in fine form, just as it should look; however, after actual import the tune titles and some of the copyright statements are missing. (Thankfully, the music itself looks grand.)
