inserting picture to word
i'm a new user of inkscape. i just need it for the pictures i need to draw for my thesis in maths. my problem is that when insert a picture (saved as emf) in word, the straight lines do not look so straight, but like they're drawn with a trembling hand. (i was using Shift- F6 to draw straight lines.) how do i fix that?

Re: inserting picture to word
Can you share some example files... the svg and resulting emf?
Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

It looks like the paths might have become rasterized, so that they aren't paths anymore. But when I convert your SVG to EMF, and open the EMF, the lines are still paths.
I think the problem is that even though they are vector paths, they still have to be displayed on the computer screen, using pixels. But you can check and make sure anti-aliasing is being used. Document Properties > Page tab, at the bottom, make sure there's a checkmark in the box.
If it's already checked, you might be able to improve it somewhat, if you can make the paths wider. Or maybe add just a tiny, tiny amount of blur (like 0.2 or 0.3).
I don't think there is any satisfying solution to this problem. Although other members might know more than I do about it.

@anatomik3001, I do not observe what you see...
On my PC it looks ok...
See attached .doc (just remove the .svg) and .pdf
Win7/64bit, Inkscape 0.92, MS Word2013
What are you using?

Re: inserting picture to word
The file and the EMF I make from it look fine in everything I import the EMF into, so it might just be a MSWord thing. (I don't have Word, so I can't say precisely.)
I'd try WMF, or maybe better, download LibreOffice and use that instead of Word.
