I didn't know photo shop had clipping too.
Maybe heathenx needs more angst in his tutorials. Just Kidding! Took me a couple of minute to realize it was a sketch not someone having a real meltdown. Worth a watch if you haven't seen any of the series before.

I don't think you're teaching unless you're patronising at the same time 
It wouldn't surprise me if Adobe invented clipping masks. Masks have been around forever--I remember using them in Paint Shop Pro in 1997. They are a lot easier to use these days though
