I searched this in forum, but I found nothing.
Problem is tjis:
For example, I have one simple polygon with line colour red (red 255).
Then I open window for setting line and fill. I pull red colour slider to the left, to 0.
Then close settings window.
After few seconds open it again. And now is colour slider for line on 5. But I setted it on zero.
I pull it again to left to zero.
And close window. And open again.
And now is red colour slider on 15.
I pull it again to 0.
Close setting window an open again. Now red colour is on zero. Finally.
What happens doc, I wish to ask.
Maybe I doing wrong something, or is there bug in InkScape? (Maybe ladybug?)
Thanks in advance.

Re: Unwanted colour changes
I can confirm it, but it happens very very rarely for me, maybe once in 50 times I slide to 0 then come back and the number is 1 or 4. Maybe it has something to do how fast you move the mouse and release when sliding.
I'm on linux, dev version.
What's your platform and version Ponny? How often does it happen?

Known issue: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1729473 (you're right about the speed of movement influencing the behaviour, prkos!)

HM, it happens for me, maybe about once in 5 times.
And record was at me - I have to set again max 5 times. Pull to end right - 255, and wait few seconds and close seting window.
And now, I am waiting for 0.92.3.

Meow
I have to report again.
There is no difference, if I moving color slider slow or fast.
I tried then to pull slider to left to zero, and then click on text box with number for this color.
But no effect in both cases.
Interessant is this. This happen only if I pull color slider to left to 0, or to right to 255. In all medium cases is no unwanted changes.
And yes, this is very frustrating, if I have to check up colour settings again, and in most cases again.

Re: Unwanted colour changes
Sorry, but this error is not corrected in versino 0.92.3.
That means, I have to check all colour settings again after every setting and changing.

Re: Unwanted colour changes
Considering the issue is only about a channel full-on or full-off, I'd try just typing in the number 0 or 255... this will probably not change.
Also, if I am using the same colors repeatedly, I can put them in a palette and just click on them (if they aren't in the palette already).

Re: Unwanted colour changes
No, you're right, it's not fixed. It will be fixed in the next major version, because for it, those sliders have been rewritten from scratch.

Re: Unwanted colour changes
1. Put all colors you need into your file (i.e. one object of each color you want).
2. Open Edit > Preferences > System and note the directory where it says "User configuration".
3. Go to Save copy as..., select 'Gimp palette (.gpl)' in the bottom right corner.
4. Navigate to the folder you made a note of previously.
5. Create a new folder in that folder, called 'palettes', if it does not exist yet.
6. Enter that new folder.
7. Save the file as ponnyspalette.gpl
8. Close Inkscape.
9. Open Inkscape, select your palette from the list of available palettes (click on tiny triangle at the right of the palette bar).
