Hello,
I am a cheapskate who doesnt want to purchase applications and I tend to veer towards freeware.
I have seen great strides in inkscape / libreoffice ability to handle pdfs.... and that is great; where last time I looked at this all I got was garbled, odd spaced text, now I see a readable document...
GOAL:
to be able to insert / remove pages from an existing multipage pdf
METHOD USED:
I have been able to use Inkscape to import single pages (set to very fine, import as text, import/export set to 300 dpi)
and then I save as an *.odg format for import using LibreOffice Draw (3.4.5) the fonts seem excessively bolded....
Maybe someone can point me to a method?
I really dont know what to look for.
Thanks for your time in this

Re: Messing with pdfs
Inkscape does have multiple page support now, but I think it's for SVG to PDF, not vice versa. Here's the link, just in case: http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscape-pages/

Note: this is an external extension, simulating multi-page documents with the help of (hiding and showing) regular layers. SVG files created with the extension are not recongnized as multi-page documents by other SVG renderers, but the extension allows to export to multi-page PDF documents (if the required external PDF tools are available for the platform and installed).
Inkscape itself, due to the lack of a standardized multi-page definition in the current SVG 1.1 specification, does not offer multi-page support (not for import or export of various vector file formats, nor when creating new SVG documents).
