Copy & Paste Problem | Nothing is in the Clipboard

Postby belasungkawa » Wed Dec 17, 2008 11:52 pm

Hi!

I'm having a small problem here. Sometimes when I try to copy (Ctrl+C) any object (be it text, path, object, group etc) from one file to another opened Inkscape window, I just couldn't paste it in the other opened window. It says on the status bar "Nothing is in the Clipboard". Sometimes it is OK but most of the time it is not. I couldn't figure out why it happen, I just upgraded the RAM to 2 GB but still (most of the time) failed to paste something in another opened file. It's not a big issue since we could just use the Import function, but it's annoying...please advise.

in 0.46 you need to make sure both windows are from the same instance, so once you have an inkscape window open, you need to open the second file by using file>open from that window. (or file>new)
