Hello,
I'm using Inkscape on OS X 10.5 in X11 and I've just discovered that copying part of one SVG file and pasting into another seems to be impossible. It doesn't work using either the keyboard shortcuts nor the menus. Is there any fix for this?
Thanks for any help,

Re: Copy / Paste in X11 on OS X
If you are trying to copy and paste between two Inkscape windows you need to make sure both windows are created from the one 'instance'. What this means is that once you open the first Inkscape Window, to create another window in the same instance go to File > New. If you open another Window from a shortcut (are they called shortcuts on Macs?) it will be ran in a new instance and you can't copy and paste between those windows.

this limitation is there in 0.46 only, 0.47 will be able to copy/paste between instances

Hi guys,
I am having the same problem trying to copy and paste between two Inkscape windows. I have opened up a new instance and it still doesn't make a difference.
I am also a Mac user and I was wondering when someone is going to compile an update as the last update was back in September 2008
