I am new to Inkscape and I have following problem. When I place an object directly next to another one, there is still visible white space, that is also visible in .png file. You can see it in the picture. Is there any solution how to fix this?

Welcome aboard!
That is a rendering artifact of anti-aliasing.
There was a recent topic about the same issue here.
I would suggest using a bit of overlapping of the objects to avoid the problem.
