Welcome! I know you'll enjoy it here, there are some really nice, and super talented people all around. To get you started, start looking at the various forums and it will lead you to where you can download Inkscape for free (called open source), and also to some super tutorials, it doesn't take a lot to get started on the basics. Like anything in life, the more you practice, the better you get, and even after several yrs of learning, I am always learning something new here. It never gets boring, always a challenge!
