[solved] Printing--Too large scale ?

Postby ScraPerfect » Tue Aug 05, 2008 2:34 am

I scanned in a shape and drew a line following it. I wrote text and made text to path. I deleted the line. Then if I print it, it's huge. One time when I exported it as a pdf to photoshop, it was the right size...but I don't know what I did.

Is it a resolution problem?

Thanks!

Maybe. What are the measurements of your object?

1.5" x 3" at 300dpi.

Was that the size you scanned it?

Inkscape is probably working on 90 dpi making your image 5" by 10". Is that the size you get? Change your document properties to work in real world measurements and shrink down your image to the size you want it.

What you see on the screen in Inkscape is always 90 dpi.
