Disabling the 'show transformation handles for selected nodes' option only works on groups of multiple nodes.

This didn't happen when I first downloaded Inkscape. Does anyone have any clue what button I accidentally hit, or should I go to the bug reports section?

Plus, I can't make transform handles appear at all, for single selected nodes, like you're showing. How did you make that happen??

What Inkscape version are you using? Also, which operating system?

Are you saying the transform handles are not disappearing for single nodes, after you disable the transform handles?

Can be set under nodes in the preferences (Shift+Ctrl+P).

I wonder what the use case for this feature is? It seems like they ought to be disabled when the option on the control bar is disabled. I wonder why someone would want this feature enabled all the time?
