I have began using CamStudio to record parts of screen in order to demonstrate. Easier than explaining.

Is it possible to link to a youtube video so that the video appears right as embed in thread, rather than just a regular link?
I've wondered if the "Flash" function in the forum could be used in such way. And how?

I know for the YT videos, there's a "Share" link that you can use to insert videos into messages. But I don't know about personal videos. I didn't exactly peruse the [urlhttp://www.inkscapeforum.com/faq.php]phBB FAQ[/url] so I might have missed something. But I don't think it mentions video.

If the forum software allows it, microUgly might be interested in adding some custom tags to the BBC message editor. You could post a request in Feedback and Suggestions subforum. He mentioned something about doing some upgrades to the forum, so maybe he'd considered adding something, while he's upgrading. But I really can't speak for him.

Looking for free online video editing software? Most of my videos are in Mp2 format and I use Windows XP. I only need it for my home videos so I am basically looking for a software that is simple and easy to use . I mainly need to combine different clips and delete a few scenes that were badly shot.

For your question, I'll recomend you to use Avidemux. A great program not listed in the wiki site is called Handbrake, to convert video files to mp4/h264, usuallly gives better compression ratio compared to other formats.
Also take a look at a program called MediaInfo, it gives you about all information about any video file.
