The type of used filter

Hi guys,

i would need your help please.

Could you hint me what kind of filters was used on this graphic on t he top upper site of that StartBurst?

Actually i dont know really how could i achieve that interspersion.

Your help would be very very appreciated,

Hi.

Some turbulence, component transfer and compositing can do something similar.
Or even with colormatrix+flood fill you could achieve something similar on any input objects.

Yet my guess is it was made from an autotraced raster grunge pattern. There are tons of tutorials on how to make such a pattern.

Like get a can of paint, spray on a paper, scan it,
adjust curves/convert to black&white.

No need to make your own texture. There are loads of free textures out there.
Check http://blog.spoongraphics.co.uk for example. That guy gives out all kinds of textures on a regular basis.

If you do want to scan your own texture, i think there were a few good tutorials (and freebies) on http://gomedia.com (cant find it at the moment).
