[solved] Filling stuff that isn't there

Postby It Is Me Here » Thu Feb 21, 2008 2:37 am

At the moment, I have a .SVG which has a transparent area in it. It appears white in Inkscape, but IE renders it as that checkerboard thing. How do I fill it white when I cannot select it (as it is just a hole, not part of the object)?

Thanks! :)

You can try changing the image's background color to not be transparent (which is the default in Inkscape). Hit Ctrl-Shift-D to bring up the document properties. You should see the label "Background" with a color selection button next to it. Press the button and change the alpha to 255 instead of 0.

If that doesn't work, just create a huge white rectangle and but it under everything else.
