Import EPS issues - white lines

Postby jamesk5 » Tue Aug 04, 2015 9:24 am

Hi all,

Perhaps this is generally a no-no, but there's some EPS files I wish to buy from a stock photo site and convert to SVG. AI files are not available.
When I run some tests using some free vector art samples, AI files import into Inkscape fine but opening EPS files creates some strange white lines in some cases.
Is there a workaround for this? :)

Also, I read on another post that someone mentioned transparencies are converted to raster for EPS. Another reason to avoid importing EPS? Hopefully.

Thanks,
James

p.s. sorry, I'm a bit of a vector art noob. I'm a 3d artist and used to raster images. I want to use an svg import plugin for a 3d program.

Could you provide some example files that demonstrate the problem? For example the EPS or the SVG with the EPS already imported. Then we could investigate. (This doesn't sound, necessarily, like a known problem.)
