Webpage Shield
Webpage Shield
I am wanting to use the shape of a shield as the layout for a webpage, and I was wondering if you guys could tell me which of these shapes would be the best to use in terms of looking like a shield shape.

Re: Webpage Shield
I would go for "C" since as we discussed elsewhere the top offers room for a header or logo. That and the design is pleasing as well as readily understood.
Re: Webpage Shield
I'm not sure how this is to be used as a webpage layout, but I would pick the later three to look more like shields. Also, I would change the base of the shield to a shape close to Darth_Gimp's shield. What you have at the moment is kind pointy. I think even just widening the point would help.
Re: Webpage Shield
It seems that when I try to widen the point somewhat I really lose the shape at the bottom

I realize this is an old post, but I looked at your SVG and came up with this idea:
1. Duplicate
2. CTRL+Drag a corner to make it somewhat larger.
3. CTRL+Drag that bottom node at the point to make it longer/bigger/wider.
4. CTRL+Drag back into its original shape (aligning with the first so you see your original size).
You should have a larger bottom portion then, without destroying your point.
Sorry if this is unclear. A bottle of Sky Vodka had a stern talking to me...
Let me know if it's unclear and I'll demonstrate when I'm sober.

Not sure I follow what you mean
