SVG is pixelated when zoomed

Postby Protoz » Mon Jan 24, 2011 3:01 am

I created my first image and saved it as a SVG. However when I zoom in on the SVG file I saved 400% or more it starts to get pixelated. It looks fine in Inkscape when zoomed in, but not other image viewers. Am I doing something wrong?

What image viewer are you using? Seems like it rasterizes the image before displaying it.

Ahh, that's probably it. It happens with "Eye of GNOME" in Ubuntu. Is there anything you recommend to view SVG graphics properly besides Inkscape and Firefox?

Inkview used to come with Inkscape, not sure if it still does.

Have you tried searching for SVG viewer in synaptic?
