Hello, I would like to create a font with the "Text/SVG font editor" from Inkscape, but when I select what I've drawn and click on the "Get curves from selection" button (or the "Missing Glyph from selection" above) nothing happens. Is there anything special to do in order that it works ?
I'm using the french translation of the 0.48 version.
Thank you in advance for any one having an idea !

Inkscape's Font Editor is very basic and has not had any development enhancements since its introduction to Inkscape. You may want to use the font editor from fontforge.org as this is a purpose built application and interoperates with .svg and many other font file types.

Thank you for your answer !
I already have fontforge, but I find it less pleasant to use than inkscape. Anyway, I will use it...

Re: Nothing happens when clicking on "Get curves from selection"
I recently ran into this problem. It turns out that some of my glyphs were in groups containing only themselves - grouped objects can't be converted into glyphs. Ungrouping them solved the problem. In some cases ungrouping broke the glyph up into multiple pieces, select all the pieces and then use the Object -> Union tool to recombine them.
