Hi im the latest noob to visit this forum
I downloaded this program as an alternative to Adobe Illustrator and it works great I love it! But there is just one minor yet major problem I have to ask.
How do you link two separate paths??? Not one path and link the ends (such as a circle with a break in it). I mean like I draw a half a square then link it to a seperate line to create one path.
If I didn't describe it well enough I uploaded this. Its the Japanese Katakana symbol for "ko" I use for example where its two strokes. How would I join the two points or nodes in the red circle to make one path?
Please help and thank you for those who do

I'm a noob too, but until some one cleverer comes along, you could try this.
Select both paths.
Do path > combine
Then click so you can see the nodes.
Then highlight the two nodes you want to join and use which ever of the joining tools is appropriate. (on the tool bar with the plus and minus at the beginning)
Then it should join the two paths into one.

What worked for me was this:
Yes, as Lillie suggested, Select both paths (using node tool with shift held down)
and then Do path > Combine
However, this does not join the 2 lines together, which seems to me be what you want ?
After doing the combine command, select the 2 end points there where the gap is (use node tool)
and hit the "join selected end nodes" button from above.
then the 2 paths will join up and close up that gap and the path will become one path.
hope this helps
