Colouring in Effect

I am trying to make an Coloring in effect in Inkscape but i am stuck in layers which is very hard to handle.
Can you please guide me how to make an coloring in effect in InkScape which i can use later in VideoScribe?

Maybe with a pencil filter too?

Then maybe it will help us if you describe a little more what you would like to achieve. What is a 'Coloring in' effect for you?
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!

Do you mean like crayons or markers? Look up ivan_louette's account at OpenClipart. I think he might have some filters like that. Or Lazur made some filters recently which might work. He has them hosted at OpenClipart too.

Or possibly Filters menu > Scatter. Any of those might work. Or maybe even the Spray tool, depending on exactly what you mean.
