save workspace?

Postby gymnart » Mon Sep 10, 2007 6:53 am

How can I save my workspace? I like to have the layers dialog open as well as the stroke and fill dialog open for every session.

As far as i know, this cannot be done in inkscape 0.45.

never fear though, there is some awesome new code in the development version which introduces dockable dialogs. this should solve your problem, maybe you could download an unstable version...

cheers,

ry

Thank you so much for letting me know.
I think I'll wait on that unstable version. I use Linux most of the time and I'm not too good at any workarounds yet if anything goes wrong.

Anything new on this topic? I'd really like to save most used panels with their sizes and positions.

Pedja, did you look into the preferences? See Edit -> Preferences -> Interface -> Windows.
