Hi, got most of I want to do sorted. But having a problem moving tiny objects? Used to using Serif Drawplus where when a small object is selected there is tab to drag the object to a different position, however this or nothing similar seems available in inkscape? All the arrows cover the object.
I know I can zoom in to enlarge the object but this is a time consuming exercise, is there any way with inkscape I have missed to drag/move a tiny object without re-sizing the object?

move small object?
Re: move small object?
In this situation I usually either use the cursor keys on the keyboard (with SHIFT to move it faster), or add a larger object to use as a "handle". In the latter case you can optionally group the small and large object, which can make things easier if there are a lot of other objects around. Otherwise, if it's fairly easy to select the small object there's no need for grouping: just select the small object, SHIFT-click on the large one, then drag the large one around and the small one moves too.
Re: move small object?
Probably just as time-consuming as zooming (but just for anyone searching in the future) if you need to move by some specific amount, could use Object menu > Transform > Move tab.

Re: move small object?
Thanks, although I actually found a solution. I noted that if I deselected the object after duplicating (works even for just moving an object) was to left click the object and move before releasing the click. No arrows appear but you can drag the small object with no problem

PS, this is also handy whatever size you want to move, as aligning with out all the arrows around the object is a lot easier.
