3D effect

hello

in a drawing with single thick line, how can I make it look more nice?

any shining, 3D, shadow, etc techniques?

GIMP might be better for shiny, glittering things. But if it needs to be SVG, you can probably find a filter, or maybe a combination of filters. It's really fun to experiment with the filters. Just go through the list! Apply a filter, see what it looks like, then do Filters menu > Remove Filters, before you try the next one. Or just Undo. After you've found some with potential, you can try combining a couple, if no single one works.

Of course you can do all the work by hand, as far as like 3D block letters or something, then adding new shapes for highlights and shadows. If you do want to do it by hand, I would suggest looking for a tutorial. I'm not sure if there's a tutorial for 3D block letters in the manual, but there are other 3D examples. And of course there are hundreds, if not thousands of tutorials around the 'net. See my forum signature for a couple of good sites :D
