I am compiling inkscape for my AMD64 slackware linux platform (slamd64) and the v0.45.1 is pretty sticky about GTK being version 2.10.
I don't want to face upgrading my GTK and I'd like to compile a version which would accept GTK v2.8. Is there a version available and what version number might that be?
any help appreciated.
