But when i try to connect the half circle, It doesn't come out right:
Here are the settings:
What snaps:
Nodes
Bounding box corners
Snap to objects:
Snap to paths
Snap to nodes
Snap to bounding box corners
Snap to grids:
Snap only when closer then 1
Snap to guides:
only when closer then 1
Here is what it comes out like:

Maybe you didn't get much response yet because it requires watching a 18 min. tutorial.
Please download a prerelease of the upcoming v0.47 version of Inkscape, and see if snapping now works as expected. At least it should have improved a lot since v0.46. If it still doesn't work then just come back to this forum and describe the problem in words, and you'll probably get a decent answer

Just hold your left mouse button down when hovering over the bottom quadrant and move left to right until the half circle remains open. I made a short quick-n-dirty video for you.
