Hello-
I should start with I have no background in SVG. A coworker created the original file in Adobe Illustrator- and I have been trying to get it modified to be 'polo-ready' for shirts.
I modified the original file- changed the text colour, the stroke, the background (black polo shirt), etc. I saved the files in the same directory as the original file. When I went to open them just now they wouldn't open and the file sizes were 1/10th the original.
1) Is it possible to recover my work?
2) If not, any idea what went wrong?
When I first started it talked about importing a pdf and did a very good job of breaking the files apart.

Re: Unable to open files saved in Inkscape
The second file isnt an ai file its an svg with an ai extension.
change the extension to svg and inkscape should load it ok, does here.
