Triangle area bucket fill

Postby earthshaker » Sun Jan 25, 2009 12:48 pm

I drew a standard equilateral triangle with a 1 px stroke, when I went to fill it with bucket fill it would not fill, thinking I had some "leaks" in my shape I checked it carefully, no "leaks" found. I tried it again and it filled the square containing the triangle, but it not fill the triangle by its self. Now in this same project I drew at least 6 different types of triangles, more like an isosceles triangle, no problem with the fill it worked perfectly on all six. I don't understand why it wouldn't work with the equilateral triangle. Any thoughts?

Inspired by the need for cartoonists to color their drawings, the Paint Bucket Tool flood fills a region with a color. True to an SVG drawing program, the new object is defined by vectors and thus is fully scalable. The region to be filled, however, is defined by the pixels on the screen at the time of the fill. This is best explained by the examples in the sections that follow.

Read http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... ucket.html to understand why it's not behaving as expected.
