Hi forum,
probably this is not strictly an Inkscape question, but I'm trying to convert a bunch of files created with Microsoft Visio to a file format which is usable on an open source editing program. "file" says the file type is "Composite Document File V2 Document" and I haven't found a program yet to import/convert this. Any suggestion would be helpful, even if it's a proprietary program.

Re: converting of file formats (visio)
Hi.
Try the open source converter; http://dia-installer.de/vsd2svg/index.html.en
Or the online converter; http://blog.zamzar.com/2009/05/08/convert-visio-files-vsd-to-pdf-jpg-png-html-and-more/

Libre Office
The newer version of Libre Office (can be downloaded from here) should also be capable to open Visio files.
I beleive you can open the files with LibO Draw and save as SVG. However I don't have no visio files to test with.
