unsupported .svg assets
unsupported .svg assets
Hello. I'm trying to import .svg's from inkscape into anime studio pro 11. Smithmicro support said some .svg's have unsupported assets. I'm waiting to hear more. Does anyone know what type of .svg's I can use and how to tell the difference. My file just says .svg. Btw, I saw the inkscape and other forum, but there's nobody in it. Thanks in advance.
Re: unsupported .svg assets
Do they import? What do they look like after import? Which SVG features does anime studio pro 11 support?
If it's just a warning that is issued when you import, just try what happens.
If it doesn't work:
- convert all flowed texts to paths or don't use flowed texts or convert all flowed texts to text.
- save as plain svg or as optimized svg.

Re: unsupported .svg assets
Inkscape can export 3 different SVGs types and I´d try the last one in the list called "optimized SVG" which allows you for instance to disable meta-data, delete comments etc.

Re: unsupported .svg assets
I show 4 types including inkscape, plain, compressed inkscape, and compressed plain. None import into anime studio pro 11. Neither does eps. A
blue and grey bar pops up for a split second, but that's all.
I'm wondering how anyone can use anime studio if it doesn't import anything.

Re: unsupported .svg assets
Might depend on the content of your drawing. If you used filters or similar effects - AS most likely would not be able to "digest" it.
AFAIK, simple drawings (so to say, plain) are quite well "digested" by AS.
* You should also check the import option in AS and scaling of those imported ones.

Re: unsupported .svg assets
While AS Pro 11 is no longer available I tried their latest release in demo mode and can´t seem to have any issues with loading SVGs from Inkscape - wether it´s "Inkscape.svg" "normal.svg", "eps" or "optimized.svg" via shift+cmd+Y:

Re: unsupported .svg assets
Perhaps if you can share an SVG, we can have a look, and suggest changes, inkscapet.
