So when are we getting Inkscape 048.1?
It's getting pretty long in the tooth since that last header page saying 48.1 has been delayed. I don't care about that...what I'd like to know *what's going on* and it would be nice to get some further information from the Inkscape team on a time frame for the update. Christmas? New Year? Give us a clue.

You could have very same luck telling Adobe to own up and tell you when they release CS6 
The answer is: nobody knows. Amount of bug reports keeps growing. Some crasher bugs have been solved. In general, we need to think about the state of 0.48 branch and then, if we decide that it's good to release, give translators at least a week to catch up on changes.
