Hello!
I have the following problem. Let us assume I put an equation into my Inkscape document ( Extensions->Render->LaTeX...). Probably I will scale it.
Later, I want to insert another formula. What is the trick to scale it, in order that the scaling is coherent with the one of the previous formula?
(I cannot for example give the same height, as even the alphabet letter do not have the same height).
Thanks!

Re: Same font size for Latex formulas
I would keep the original on one locked layer and put the new formulae on a higher layer, then scale the new objects to generally match... easy if there are similar figures. Copy/paste into the correct location or working document.
Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

Re: Same font size for Latex formulas
Thanks for your answer, but my problem is exactly to know how to scale the objects. if you scale a "a" to match with a "l", your "a" will be too big.
Re: Same font size for Latex formulas
You could use the transform dialog for scaling, or enter equations into the entry boxes for width and height, and keep track of the factor you had to use to make it look correct, e.g. try it out: enter *0.9 behind the value in the 'width' box (with locked width/height ratio), then look if it's okay, then either undo and repeat, or write down the factor that was the one you used.
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!

You could actually make a layer with a generous character set, scale it to your desired size as described in my earlier post and use it as a gauge for all your formulae. Hide/show the layer as needed.
