Stretching Horizontally

Postby scottjodoin » Mon Jul 17, 2017 1:16 am

Hi, I tried:
    Bend
    Envelope Distortion
    Perspective
    Rubber Stretch (Barrel, Pincushion)

None of these have accomplished what I'm looking for.
I would like to 'push' an image horizontally (or vertically) so that the path appears to curl around a corner.

E.G:
| | | | | | | |
Turns into:
| | | | | | | | | | |||

What could be done?
Thanks.

Might interpolation be handy?

Check this one out for more details.
Warm recommendation for a new bookmark as well ,)

Hi, @scottjodoin, are you talking about a) object/paths or b) bitmap images?
If I understood you correctly...
a) divide objects and cut paths.
b) cut your bitmap image (with some other software, I don't know whether Inkscape can also do it?).
Compress and/or skew the part you want.
Probably, there are more elegant solutions.
