They do not appear in the font list and they are not recognized from the xml.
I don't understand why, since they are True Type fonts.

Symbol fonts without a Unicode map don't work in Inkscape 0.45 on Windows (see the Inkscape 0.45 release notes). This is bug 165665, which is still open.
