Fill area between LPE "attach path"

Postby theozh » Sun Feb 26, 2017 10:53 pm

I was experimenting with the LPE "Attach Path" (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=31854#p96486)
I would like to fill the area between two of such "rubber" paths.
It seems to work if you have TWO objects connected together which give a "closed" path. As an example (see above link), TWO "rubber-band-connected" speech bubbles work, however, with THREE or more objects (and two or more connecting "rubber-bands") I couldn't get it to work.

There is another LPE "Fill between many" which thought would fulfill this task. It should fill the area between two separate paths using the shortest connection between their start/end nodes. I However, so far I couldn't figure out how to achieve this such that you have a "color filled" rubber-band between several objects.
Has anybody used these LPEs and has some advanced experience?

"Fill between many" gives you an effect a bit like the bucket tool. You can use it to colour lineart.
Here is an old tutorial for Inkscape's former incarnation Ponyscape:
