Flash tutorials with Wink
Re: Flash tutorials with Wink
I think the flash file is good, but having to download it, extract it and open a HTML file makes it clumsy.
Re: Flash tutorials with Wink
I have tried "|flash=796,622|http://www.mediafire.com/?4jdezmtmnji|/flash|"
(| = square brackets) but it does not work with mediafire.

Re: Flash tutorials with Wink
You could also just have a free web space and host the file there

That's because that URL is not a direct link to the file. Mediafire don't want you directly linking to the file so you have to visit their site and be subjected to advertising. You could host your files with MediaMax who I beleive do allow direct linking to files.

Re: Flash tutorials with Wink
IMHO Wink flash presentations are one of the best forms of tutorials.
ADVANTAGES:
1) They can be displayed at the best resolution and at reasonable size (most [mp4, wmv, ...] videos on the
net are low-resolution and authors may be forced to use tricks to display everything they need)
2) They can be made interactive ([mp4, wmv, ...] videos cannot be interactive)
3) They can contain sound
4) They can be easily edited (editing of [mp4, wmv, ...] videos requires a lot of work)
5) The [award winning program] Wink is freeware and available both for Windows and for Linux
DRAWBACKS:
Wink is not opensource.
