Hello everyone,

Hello everyone.

I am attempting to make an image like this, but a more simpler design. What I am struggling with is getting a spiral like this to have a creative image that curls around and repeats its design and color scheme. I have used stitch sub paths to create a cool lattice design within a circle, yet I can't color it in a repetitive fashion like the image above is. I have tried using various cloning tools, but again, the color will not repeat and can only be changed in a certain direction from a starting point. I will place this in a sun for a company logo. Could you recommend the approach to make a basic hypnotic design like the image I provided above, yet with a consistently repeating color scheme of just a few different colors?

Here are examples of what I have done so far.

Hi there,

company logos can be carved in your customers retina more likely if they are plain simple.
Preferably no more than 2 colours, no unnecessary styling like filters or fractals.
Take mediamarkt for example, they do use a hypnotic logo.

There are alot of good links posted on the forum for "good" logo designing.

Besides that, fractals are infinite as well as svg's scale/zooming capabilities, meaning it would end up much larger in file size even with serious compromises compared to a raster image.
That's more of a challenge anyway, although possible.

Oh or that's for a much simpler design.
Using clones should work. With flat fills.

Have you tried the Spirograph extension? It's awesome: http://inkscapecommunity.com/ic_gallery ... ampler.png or http://inkscapecommunity.com/ic_gallery ... -black.png

Or the Star tool is great fun too! (see Help menu > Inkscape manual) Everything on attached image is made with the Star tool only :D

Woah. Thank you both for your guidance. It is appreciated. Will need to play with the star tool.

Just sent this to my boss and will see what he says. Will diligently apply your pieces of advice and see if I can make the design into what he is looking for. I gather now it is too complicated and will need to sit next to him directly. If I hit more road blocks I will write on the thread again, but this is a wonderful collection of information.

Peace to you.
