Inkscape on OSX Mountain Lion

How well does Inkscape work on OSX Lion and/or Mountain Lion? Should I install it?

Thanks brynn. It's a pleasure to be part of this forum.
I am not very happy with Adobe forcing people to make monthly payments so I am looking for Adobe Illustrator alternatives. Free or/and commercial.

You mean you have to pay thousands of dollars, PLUS a monthly fee?? That's outrageous!! Who ever heard of such a thing?! Shame on them!

Just a note if it helps anyone...
New iMac here, running OSX 10.3.8, Inkscape 0.48.2 r9819, XQuartz 2.7.4 and seems to be working fine.
