Inkscape branded wallpaper

Postby MetalMusicAddict » Wed Sep 17, 2008 11:40 pm

Ok. So I imagine all of us around here are Inkscape lovers so I was thinking we could show our skill and post our idea of a great Inkscape fan wallpaper. Something that uses the logo and such.

Lets go with 2560x1600 (16:10) as a rendered size.

Sharing what? I see nothing.

BTW, just download some "about screens" in SVG format and export them to whatever resolution you like :P The 0.46 has particularly brilliant a.s.

One trick that spammers use, is to post frivolous or gratuitous messages (which don't really fit the discussion -- they have no real meaning, and contribute nothing to the discussion, yet are not offensive). Then they come back later and edit the spam into them. So we routinely delete them. In this case, I found 4 more messages by the same member -- all frivolous or gratuitous!

Plus, and this is just my opinion, I think they want to reduce the quality of the forum. I don't know, to try and force the owners to abandon it? Or maybe it somehow attracts other spammers? I'm not really sure, but there is a surprising number of similar messages being posted. So the admins have said to delete any messages which don't contribute to the discussion or topic. In this case "Thanks for sharing" didn't make sense.

I might mention that when I logged on today, I had been away from the forum for 18 hours. I found 52 messages awaiting approval -- 3 of them were appropriate and sincere messages! All the rest were spam. Amazing, huh?!

Oooooh :) I thought it contained porn :) OK, then. Let me just say that compared to some forums I've seen (OpenOffice.org forums for example) these forums are... well, another league. Image

It's astonishing to know this  I could've never imagined such bothersome things keep happening to what I see as a very clean and high-quality forum.
