document properties

Hi, I've just downloaded Inkscape 0.91, and am just learning how to use it.
I can't seem to change document properties, nothing opens when I try to go to document properties via any of the buttons and shortcut keys.
I'd be very grateful for advice, as I am trying to get some technical drawings done.

Does the dropdown; File - Document Properties work?

Hello...
Adding to Ragstian... ¿what properties do you want to change?. Please be aware that in Inkscape you can see (depend of file extension) and edit technical drawings, but it's not a technical drawing program, so some features may not be present

Also: Which version of inkscape are you using? in which operative system? This is just curiosity what kind of technical drawing do you want to do?
