Postby b0rut » Wed Feb 19, 2014 3:16 am

Hello everyone!

I've watched tutorial on how to make a rope linked:

and I've got into a following problem:

I've sucessfully created a rope path:

but now, I don't know how to colour it up... I would like to use shading aswell, is it possible to make it for a single patern? I've tried diferend ways but couldn't find the solution

Thanks in advance!

Hi.

If you are not using the pattern along path as a live effect, but as an extension, you can select groups of object for it too -group of outline and fill object(s).

I would suggest to google up some ropes as twisted ropes have a different pattern.
The three-strand twisted rope has it's shape in a helix that deforms the least when pulled, which is why it is used on different wide ropes.
