[solved] Making an interactive map with Inkscape

Postby ptc » Sun Jul 27, 2008 6:04 am

Hi,

I've designed a map of a fantasy world for my web site and I want to make it interactive or "clickable." I want to make the place names function as links that open pop-up windows that contain information and/or links to other pop-up pages.

I want to do this with a wysiwyg editor like BlueFish or NVU, but I have no idea which to use.

Any advice?

You can see the map here: http://www.petertcrowell.com/mapexp.png

Last time I checked, Bluefish wasn't WYSIWYG. NVU is discontinued with Kompozer being a follow-up project. If it's any help, what you're looking for is technically know as an image map.
