I am a beginner and would like to know how can I write Greek letters? Where can I find a tutorial on how to easily use the program?

To type greek letters:

Enter text mode - F8
Position the cursor on the page (canvas in Inkscape language) by clicking the LMB (Left Mouse Button).

TypeCTRL+SHIFT+Uto get into unicode mode.
(Check the mode in the status-field at the bottom of the Inkscape window.)

type the unicode -
try typing using the numbers above the letter keys, not the numpad - 03b1 space 03b2 space 03a9 space
when finished type a "normal" letter or RETURN.
