I cannot get this function to work.
Uninstalled and re-installed the programme. Still does not work
Can anyone help please.

Yes, please tell us specifically what "does not work" means. For example, you can't open the dialog? Or you opened the dialog and select the image you want to trace, but it doesn't trace? Or you performed the trace but it didn't turn out like you want? If that's the case, please tell us what you expect, and show us your results so we can have some idea what's happening.

My best guess is that you think the dialog isn't opening. Perhaps you didn't notice that the Trace Bitmap dialog opens in the docked position, along the right side of the canvas. In previous versions, it opened in the middle of the page.

But if that's not it, please be specific.

If you're on OS/X and are using more than one monitor, please look for the dialog on the other monitor, too.
